Sammy Reading With Daddy

I've been a reading specialist for 12 years. I am passionate about reading and especially about teaching reading. It should come as no surprise that Sam has been read to since the day he was born. Those tiny seeds planted in the wee hours of his life have reaped tremendous rewards. You can imagine how my heart sings when I turn the corner and find my son on the floor surrounded by his books. Or when I hear him reading books in his crib at 5:30 in the morning as I lay in bed listening to him over the monitor. One of my greatest joys is that Sam loves books. (Daddy is thrilled that he also loves golf and playing marimba!)

A Very Special Dinner

Tonight, some of my dearest colleagues and friends and I got together for a very special dinner. God bless us all as we wait to find out what he has planned for each of us. No sitter, so Sam had to come along. Thank God for Uncle Rodney! It seems that Sam has a new friend and lots of new girlfriends!! It was a late night for Sam. When we finally got home, he was wound up. So I of course took more pictures! (I'm still not sure "Uncle Rodney" didn't slip some sugar or caffeine into Sam's cup!) Enjoy the pictures!

Look at me! My very first blog! When I figure all this out I'll start posting more. Gotta go now, time to wake up Sam and get ready for work.
