Last week, I introduced Sam to painting. I had a set of Crayola watercolor paints from when I named a color in their United States special edition pack contest. Actually, I have a ton a fun Crayola products that I pull from as Sam gets older. Anyway, I digress. Sam was fascinated by the watercolors. I had fun teaching him how to use the brushes and mix the water with the paint.
Then, he realized that if one brush and one color was fun, two must be twice as much fun!
And it wasn’t long after that he realized he could paint himself.
Well, that naturally led to fingerpainting.
Then he experimented with adding water straight on the paper.
Back to the brushes with an attempt at using three brushes at one time.
Not as easy as he thought it would be.
Sitting back to evaluate his work...
…he declared his masterpiece “All done!”
Today, watercolors. Tomorrow…acrylics!
Well, maybe not tomorrow. Check back here on Tuesday. Because THAT was a lot of fun!

Well, now I'm all caught up! I love the intensity when he is painting, this is serious business!
Isn't it funny when they ask for something we think of as a necessity, like the umbrella??? If only it was that easy to make them smile all the time!
I should let my kids take more photos, I have a camera from Disney that my kids were carrying around, I wonder what surprises are in there...
I agree with Jennifer! He looks SO serious about the whole painting business;)
And your comment on my Saturday post almost had me on the floor. Imagine that, a doctor who supplies you with industrial size goodies. Awesome.
