I am a Reading Recovery Teacher. I teach children to read. I teach the lowest, most struggling, hardest to teach first graders how to read. I LOVE my job! You need to know this about me to understand just how much this video means and why it makes my heart sing. This is Sam, two weeks before his third birthday. Scott is out of town...again.
I have a gift for turning most any activity into some kind of literacy activity. Sam may write me a note one day calling it my curse. Whatever. At least he’ll be writing it!
While I was lost in Blogland cleaning the kitchen the other day, Sam was very quiet. I came around the corner to find him making words.
From top to bottom: Sam, Daddy, Rocket, Mama, Putter. If you’re not sure why this is so exciting, contact me. I’ll be glad to give my professional opinion!
