A Tutorial and a Plea

Monday evening, most of Scott’s graduate and undergraduate percussion students gathered at our house for an end-of-the-semester party. Some new department somewhere deep within the university actually provides funding for faculty to hosts their students in such a way. I think it is a wonderful initiative, especially since we get to join the celebration! It was lots of fun and the food was great. Scott got Hudson’s to cater the affair (of course). Yum-o!

The best part of the evening for me? Watching Sam make bubbles with Sarah, a colleague of Scott’s and a new friend of ours. She is also the girlfriend (fiance?) of Greg, a good friend from graduate school and now also a colleague of Scott’s. (They are such a neat couple!) She was wonderful with Sam. It was so much fun to watch her with him. She truly didn’t seem to mind entertaining him while I snapped away with the camera. Of course, all this could be a lie…or my imagination. It doesn’t matter. She doesn’t read this. Or, if she does, she doesn’t follow me. Actually, while I’m thinking about it, I have a lot of friends who say they read my brags but don’t follow me. That’s called stalking, my friends. Feel free to join over there on the right so I don’t feel like such a dork in the blog world. Thanks. Anyway, where was I? Oh, yeah, here are my favorite bubble pictures (SOOC):

Finally, if you’ve ever wondered how to get a bubble back into a bottle, Sarah and Sam offer this tutorial:

Now, go…blow bubbles…and don’t forget to follow me! And please let me know of your blog if I don’t already follow you. If you’re not among the 500 blogs I read, it is only because I don’t know about your blog yet. Tsk! Tsk!

*UPDATE: Well, what do you know! Sarah not only visited the blog...she commented!
